Mr. Gaddafi Ibrahim, Chairman and Managing Director, held an awards ceremony to honor the winners of this year's Government Excellence Awards. The ceremony was attended by the heads of the company's various sectors. Dr. Amir Hegab, Head of the Commercial Sector, was honored for the Mandara branch customer service center winning second place, and the Muharram Bey branch customer service center winning third place in the customer service center category of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, as part of the Excellence in Government Service Delivery Award. He also honored Dr. Lamia Mustafa, Head of the Laboratories and Research Sector, for winning first place in the senior leadership category of the Distinguished Leadership Awards. Mr. Mustafa El-Bayda, Director of the Electronic Portal Department in the Information Technology Sector, was also honored, as the company's website achieved eighth place. The website category is considered a crucial one, as it is evaluated at the level of all companies and local authorities nationwide, requiring specific criteria, especially given the tremendous technological advancements in the field of information technology and digital transformation.
Engineer Gaddafi Ibrahim praised the efforts of the work teams, noting that teamwork is one of the most important foundations of excellence and development. He added that the Alexandria Drinking Water Company boasts many distinguished human resources in all fields.
In his address to all leaders, he emphasized the need to focus on water quality and increase pressure in the coming period, especially as we approach the holy month of Ramadan and the summer season, to meet the needs of citizens.
It is worth mentioning that the Egypt Government Excellence Award is affiliated with the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation. It embodies the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to achieve the Sustainable Development Strategy (Egypt Vision 2030), which stipulates the formation of an efficient and effective administrative apparatus that applies the principles of governance and contributes to achieving the development goals.
