Under the auspices of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the first workshop was held from December 2 to 4, 2018, to “prepare a manual for commercial sector procedures,” to include all work procedures for the commercial sector and unify the documentary cycle for the sector in line with the commercial regulations. The new one, in cooperation with the commercial sector of the Holding Company for Potable Water and Wastewater, headed by Professor Dr. Mohamed Hisham Afifi, Head of the Financial and Commercial Sector, Commercial Sectors, and Integrity Support Departments of the subsidiaries.
The Alexandria Drinking Water Company presented a procedures guide for the company’s commercial sector, which was prepared based on the directives of Mr. Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director.
The first workshop dealt with unifying work procedures for operations (customer service - commercial contracts and subscriptions - complaints), in the presence of 11 affiliated companies from the governorates of: Alexandria - Cairo - Giza - Beheira - Dakahlia - Gharbia - Luxor - Matrouh - Damietta - Canal Cities. In the presence of Ms. Iman Raafat, Director of the Integrity Support Department at the Holding Company, Mr. Muhammad Abdullah, an accountant in the commercial sector of the Holding Company, Dr. Sherif Al-Jarhi, a commercial and financial consultant in the drinking water and sewage management project, and Eng. Rasha Zakaria, a follow-up and evaluation consultant in the drinking water and sewage management project. And the heads of the commercial sectors of the subsidiary companies and some of those concerned from the commercial sectors and representatives of the integrity support departments. The accountant/ Ahmed Abdel Halim, head of the commercial sector, Mr. Accountant/ Ahmed Abdel Halim, the general manager of the Sharq branches and the General Administration of Revenue and Collection, and the accounting professor/ were present from the Alexandria Drinking Water Company. Nevin Taher, General Manager of Auditing in the Commercial Sector, Ms. Yusr Salah, General Manager of Board Affairs, and Ms. Rasha Ramadan, Director of Customer Service Department - Central.
It is worth noting that the Integrity Support Program is one of the projects of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) implemented in Egypt.
