The Alexandria Drinking Water Company continues to strongly support the implementation of the community participation management strategy to provide high-quality drinking water for every citizen, especially the neediest families in the deprived areas of Alexandria Governorate, as the implementation of the mechanisms of the project to help families who are unable to pay the cost of water delivery in the second Abis area has been completed by installing Connections to domestic water in the village.
This project comes within the framework of cooperation with the Rotary Club in order to meet the needs of marginalized community groups for drinking water.
As part of the visit of Eng. Ahmed Gaber Shehata, Chairman of the Board of Directors, to the village of Apis 2, accompanied by members of the Rotary Club of Alexandria West and Lviv, among the company’s leaders; His Excellency noted in special statements that: The Alexandria Water Company is constantly communicating with civil society in partnership with charitable institutions to lift the burden on the most needy families and provide all the services necessary to advance them, in line with the current state plan to expand the support base for all deserving groups in Alexandria society. His Excellency also stressed to the work team of the General Administration of Awareness and Community Participation, under the supervision of Mr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, the necessity of expanding the scope of the company’s social responsibility to include the largest possible number of citizens in all deprived areas in the city of Alexandria.
