In an inspection tour conducted by Eng. Sherif Ismail, Assistant to the President of the Republic for the implementation of national and strategic projects, along with His Excellency Minister Abdel Aziz Qansoua, Governor of Alexandria, and Major General Ahmed Bassiouni, Secretary General of the Governorate, in which Eng. Ahmed Gaber Shehata, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director, and a group of leaders from various executive agencies participated. And representatives of Parliament; The latest developments and equipment that were actually carried out in the stadium in preparation for the 2019 African Cup of Nations were inspected, as Dr. Abdel Aziz Qanswa explained during the tour the work that had been done to raise the efficiency of the stadium floor and renovate the stands, the main cabin, the press center hall, and the dressing rooms for the players and referees.
Engineer Sherif Ismail gave several important notes to be taken into consideration and implemented as required within a maximum of two days.
The Alexandria Drinking Water Company has contributed to raising the efficiency of the infrastructure of the stadium’s water supply networks, as a 6-inch diameter line was extended, two (2) entrances to two 4-inch diameter lines were made, and a 4-inch connection to a 3-inch meter was made to feed the drinking water tank and (2) fire tanks.
Engineer Ahmed Gaber inspected all the work related to supplying water to Alexandria Stadium and indicated that the Alexandria Water Company is fully prepared with equipment and trained work teams in order to serve the Alexandria community under any emergency circumstances, especially at the time of the 2019 African Nations Championship.
In his speech, Jaber expressed his sincere wishes for the victory of the Egyptian team, that Egypt will remain a country of security and stability, and that Alexandria will remain a beacon of sports, science, and arts at the level of cities throughout the world.
