Mr. Engineer Ahmed Gaber Shehata, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director, conducted a quick inspection tour to follow up on the processes of replacing, renewing and relocating the conflicting lines within the Mahmoudiyah Canal Axis Development Project, accompanied by a group of leaders from the production and distribution sectors of western and central Alexandria, projects, and the country’s engineering team.
His Excellency began inspecting the work of securing the reinforcement of the drinking water canal siphon at the eastern station outlet and issued his instructions to expedite the implementation of disinfection and maintenance work by making partitions and a concrete layer in order to protect and secure the road from subsidence as a result of any leakage resulting from the siphon body, in addition to improving the quality of the water. The completion of the implementation work of a room connecting two turbid water lines with a diameter of “1000 and 1200 mm” feeding the Nozha station with a water line with a diameter of “1500 mm” was followed up as part of the development work of the Mahmoudiyah axis.

Then he made a surprise visit to the Nozha station to check on the regular maintenance procedures for the diesel bays, pumps and valves. He was assured of the regularity of work in the station’s security shifts and the work team in the evening shift at the central laboratory. He stressed the accuracy of periodic monitoring of the quality of drinking water by monitoring all emergency standards and developments to ensure quality. The tour ended with supervising the repair of a broken water line with a diameter of “1000 mm” near the Hajar Al-Watiyah area, affecting the areas of “Baqus, Smouha, Mustafa Kamel, and Al-Raml.” Maintenance work was in the final stage, where the break was repaired and a pipe was installed to open water and deliver it to the people of the affected areas.
