In light of the rain, torrential rains, and bad weather conditions that Alexandria Governorate faced during the past 48 hours. The village of Algeria in the southern region was exposed to several developments. On the same level; The Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, at dawn on Saturday, inspected the village of Algiers to examine the situation in person. He ordered the drainage of agricultural drainage water by cutting the bridge linking the drain and the Mariout Guide Canal.

Engineer Ahmed Jaber, during an inspection tour, followed up on developments in the situation. The process of opening the drainage of the Desert Reconstruction Bank on the Mariout Guide Canal for water drainage was initiated. Part of the bridge was removed to direct the water towards the Bahij Canal to create a diversion to facilitate its delivery. This was in the presence of Engineer Jwaida Ali, Head of the Southern Production and Distribution Sector, and First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation.

The free zone lifter was also sent to inspect the condition of the lifter, inspect the pressure meter, and verify the level of the tanks to secure water delivery to the city of Burj Al Arab.
Accordingly, an urgent scenario was developed for how to carry out a rapid maneuver through the valve management of the Alexandria Water Company to divert water from the Alexandria city stations and deliver it to the Burj Al Arab lifter.

The work team is now checking the conditions of the Burj Al Arab lifter and is waiting to ensure that water reaches the lifter to supply all areas affected by the water outage as a result of the 40 kilometer lifter stopping.

In a related context, the Alexandria Water Company delivered water vehicles to Borg El Arab University Oncology Hospital and New Borg El Arab Hospital, in addition to delivering water via networks to Al Amreya General Hospital and Red Crescent Hospital.
