Results of the Occupational Safety and Health Professionals Competition at the Holding Company for Potable Water and Wastewater

Conclusion of the safety skills development competition with the participation of 14 drinking water companies

The Occupational Safety and Health Skills Development Competition was concluded today with the participation of 14 companies affiliated with the drinking water and sanitation sector in Upper Egypt, at the headquarters of the drinking water desalination plant in Rumaila, Matrouh Governorate.

Dr. Ibrahim Khaled, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Matrouh Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, confirmed that the competition, which lasted for 4 days, concluded its activities today, and is divided into two parts: the competition for dealing with closed and confined areas and chlorine leaks.

It was announced that the Kafr El-Sheikh Company team won first place individually in the chlorine leakage competition, second place for the Menoufia Company, and third place for the Alexandria Water Company. It also won first place in the individual confined space competition for the Alexandria Water Company, second place for the Cairo Water Company, and third place for the Matrouh Water Company.

As for the indoor group competition, Alexandria Water Company won first place, Matrouh Water Company second place, and Menoufia Company third place.

Finally, it won first place in the Kafr El-Sheikh company’s group chlorine diversion competition

In second place is the Alexandria Water Company, and the third place is in the Cairo Drainage Company.

The closing ceremony was attended by accountant Mohamed Abu Ghanima, Secretary General of Matrouh Governorate, Dr. Ibrahim Khaled, head of the Matrouh Water Company, and Brigadier General Mohamed Bassem, Director of Civil Protection in Matrouh.

*Second place for the chlorine gas leak control team

*First place for individual skills in individual Al-Sibiya

*Third place for individual skills in wearing chlorine tasks

The finals of the competition will be inaugurated at Al-Mansheya 2 station in Alexandria Governorate next month.
