Thanks to God, the central laboratories and the General Quality Department of the Drinking Water Company in Alexandria have passed the review by the National Accreditation Council (EGAC) to move to the modern version of the ISO 17025:2017 standard with a double number of indicators (83 indicators), in addition to adopting the Salmonella indicator using polymerase chain reaction technology. This is the first time in the Arab Republic of Egypt with subsidiaries and central laboratories specialized in the field of drinking water and sanitation, so that the Alexandria Drinking Water Company has the lead in this application.
