Engineer Mamdouh Raslan said that the sanitation and drinking water companies in Alexandria made extraordinary efforts during the rainy periods witnessed by the governorate, and dealt with unprecedented amounts of rain within a short period of time in coordination with all executive authorities.

The Chairman of the Holding Company directed the subsidiaries to carry out awareness campaigns for citizens on the necessity of maintaining sewage drains and rain gutters, and not throwing waste into the drains, causing their blockage, despite the periodic and continuous disinfection operations carried out by the company.
Engineer Mamdouh Raslan also stressed the importance of continuing precautionary measures at all work sites and customer service centers to reduce the repercussions of the spread of the Corona virus, especially in light of the great strides made by the subsidiaries in digital transformation and work automation.
He added that procedures for revitalizing collection rates, activating electronic payment channels, and expanding the installation of prepaid meters were discussed, as they are among the most important files that must be placed at the top of priorities to ensure the sustainability and improvement of services provided to citizens.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Holding Company followed up on the urgent solutions implemented by companies in hot areas, increasing the quantities of available water by raising the efficiency of drinking water and sewage treatment plants, implementing field follow-up campaigns to remove hidden connections that affect the regularity of pressures and their arrival in some areas, especially villages, and reviewing Operation and maintenance plans, network replacement and renewal operations, and station rehabilitation to obtain the Technical Sustainable Development Certificate (TSM), and the executive position of the Decent Life Program to deliver sanitation service to the poorest villages.
