The head of Alexandria Water inspects the work of transferring the outlet of the “Kilometer 40” water station
Engineer Ahmed Gaber, head of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, continued the work of moving the “Kilometer 40” water station’s outlet from its current location on the Dalil Mariout Canal directly to the Noubaria Canal, a distance of 14 kilometers, to improve the quality of the raw water that the station receives.
He stressed that the company is sparing no effort in improving the services provided to citizens within the framework of the directives of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and the Holding Company for Potable Water and Wastewater.
He pointed to the company's quality control system, which includes: (the presence of a laboratory in every water production and purification station, and the central laboratory to monitor the quality of produced water at the governorate level), in addition to the drinking water reference laboratory affiliated with the holding company, which monitors water quality at the republic level.
The head of the Alexandria Water Company also inspected the work of completing the extension of the station’s turbid water lines with diameters of 1600 mm, which number three lines, with a length of 14 kilometers per line.
He began the work of replacing and renovating the 1000 mm diameter runner passing above the “Desert Reconstruction” drain in the petrochemical area, to increase water pressures for the petrochemical industrial area, Sidpec, and Bashayer Al-Khair 6, 7, and 8, and to increase the supports for them.
Engineer Ahmed Jaber thanked all the workers responsible for the replacement and renewal process, and he was accompanied during the tour by the head of the production and distribution sector in the southern region, and the company’s technical advisor.
