World Water Day 2021
On World Water Day...a cooperation protocol was signed between the Alexandria Drinking Water Company and the Scientific Research City
Engineer Ahmed Gaber, head of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, stressed the company’s keenness to raise awareness of water issues and its commitment to rationalizing consumption to secure the increasing demand for drinking water and sanitation services in light of the continuous increase in the population.
This comes as part of the activities of celebrating World Water Day 2021, under the slogan “Valuing Water,” in the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications in New Burj Al Arab.
It is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Alexandria Governorate, and the Holding Company for Potable Water and Wastewater.
On the sidelines of the celebration, the Alexandria Drinking Water Company signed a cooperation protocol with the General Authority for Scientific Research City, to begin implementing joint projects to improve the current treatment system, rationalize energy, reduce water loss, provide new technologies for alternative water sources, reduce the harmful effects of climate and environmental changes, and lay the foundations for In the field of water treatment.
This came in the presence of; Dr. Jacqueline Azer, Deputy Governor of Alexandria, Dr. Mona Abdel Latif, Acting Director of the General Authority of the City for Scientific Research and Technological Applications, Major General Mahmoud Nafi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sanitation Company, Engineer Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Drinking Water Company, Dr. Hossam Maghazi, former Minister of Irrigation, and Dr. Maha Al-Damlawi, former head of the Scientific Research City, vice presidents of universities, deans of colleges, and a number of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
