An inspection tour by the head of Alexandria Water to follow up on the work of transforming facilities and collection branches in the Gharb region
Engineer Ahmed Gaber, head of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, conducted an inspection tour in the Bridge 21 area west of Alexandria, to study the possibility of changing the drinking water line feeding the area and the exhibitions with the sewage line, noting that coordination had been made with the Alexandria Sanitation Company and an agreement was made to change the route of the water line in the Bridge 21 area. .
He also went to the collection branch in the 6th of October area in Agamy, to follow up on the operation of the “hand held” systems for collection and readings, which obliges the reader and collector to be present in front of the water meter to record the correct reading, which contributes to overcoming many problems related to errors in recording readings, and ensures that the citizen Accounting for actual consumption.
He added that the Alexandria Drinking Water Company activated the “My Reading” application, which the Holding Company launched in July 2020, as part of its digital transformation plan, which allows citizens to report readings from the 1st to the 15th of each month, after photographing the meter, so that the citizen will be able to track his consumption.
He added that there are many applications that the company provides, to provide distinguished service to citizens, in light of keeping pace with modern technologies that contribute to implementing the principles of social distancing in light of facing the repercussions of the new Corona virus.
In a related context, he said that the company, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, began vaccinating workers to obtain the second dose of the vaccine to prevent and limit the spread of the Corona virus.
He stressed the company's keenness to follow all precautionary measures at field work sites and customer service centers in order to ensure the safety of citizens and workers.
