The head of the Water Holding Company follows up on the preparations of the drinking water and sanitation companies in Alexandria for the winter season
Engineer Mamdouh Raslan, President of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, and Dr. Salah Bayoumi and Dr. Ahmed Moawad, Vice Presidents of the Holding Water Company, met with Major General Engineer Mahmoud Nafi, President of the Alexandria Wastewater Company and Engineer Ahmed Gaber, President of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, to discuss the two companies’ readiness to receive the rainy season. Floods, reviewing the emergency plan, and positioning and dispersing equipment to deal with climate change.
This came in the presence of Engineer Jwaida Ali Suleiman, Vice President of the Alexandria Water Company, Engineer Manal Galal, Assistant President of the Sanitation Company, and a number of executive leaders.
The meeting reviewed the preparations of the Alexandria Sanitation Company in disinfecting Al-Shanaish and sewage drains, and urgent plans for hot areas.
Engineer Mamdouh Raslan stressed the importance of coordination with all the various executive authorities, following up on the data issued by the Meteorological Authority, and developing early crisis management scenarios to follow up on preparations in the event of rain, taking all measures, providing the necessary needs, and raising the efficiency of equipment.

He stressed the preparation of a number of switches and submersible pumps to cover hot areas, raising the level of preparedness at hotline 125 and customer service centers, and coordinating between companies’ emergency rooms, the holding company’s operations rooms, the governorates, and the concerned authorities.
