Mr. Engineer Ahmed Gaber Shehata (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company and Managing Director) signed a cooperation protocol with the Good Trains Foundation for Development, known as No. 4133 of 2020. On the part of the Foundation, Dr. Zainab Raafat Attia (Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Good Trains Foundation) signed the protocol. For Development), in the areas of community participation and water delivery to the areas and families most in need in Alexandria Governorate.
The two parties agreed on ways of cooperation, as the Foundation will pay the cost of delivering water to 34 families in the villages of Abu Basisa and Al-Naj al-Gharbi. The Foundation will also pay the cost of a water line (project) in the Abdel Qader area, with a length of 318 meters, serving a number of poor families in the region.
Gaber stated that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s declaration of 2022 as the Year of Civil Society represents an opportunity to increase cooperation and partnership between civil society and government agencies for the sake of a state that supports the dignity of the Egyptian human being and provides him with all social rights, thus achieving the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
