The first scientific meeting of the Marine Environment Division

Based on the role of the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries in improving the scientific research system and the state’s interest in linking scientific outputs to the goals of strategic plans (Egypt Vision 2030),

Mr. Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, presented and presented a lecture on the impact of climate change on water resources in Egypt and the role of the Alexandria Water Company in preserving water resources (in light of the decrease in the per capita share of water) and presented solutions that The company uses it to meet challenges, including finding alternative sources of water - reusing water for washing filters and draining pipes - reducing commercial and physical losses.

He added that the industry must be linked to scientific research, which is what is happening now at the Alexandria Water Company

This is done by concluding protocols between the company and various scientific bodies to activate the role of scientific research and its application in the water industry.

He also thanked Mrs. Dr. Abeer Al-Sahar for her efforts.

On the other hand, researchers at the Institute of Marine Sciences held a group of scientific research discussing marine studies and the impact of pollutants and heavy metals along the Mediterranean coast.
