The Rotary Club of Alexandria Sporting organizes a community meeting at the Sporting Club in the presence of the head of Alexandria Water.

The Rotary Club organized a symposium entitled The current and future situation in the field of purifying, distributing and supplying citizens with drinking water in Alexandria.

Mr. Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Alexandria Water Company, gave an introductory overview of water between the present and the future, the challenges facing us in light of the water shortage, and how to exploit available alternatives such as rainwater, groundwater, and wastewater.

His Excellency also reviewed the efforts, projects and expansions undertaken by the company in purifying drinking water using the latest scientific methods until it reaches the consumer in a safe, healthy way. He also spoke about the major projects undertaken by the state and in which the Alexandria Drinking Water Company participates.

The meeting was attended by a large number of Rotary Club members, businessmen, and Alexandria Governorate officials.

At the end of the symposium, His Excellency praised the role played by Rotary clubs in serving the Alexandrian community in all fields, especially delivering water to the areas and families most in need in Alexandria Governorate. Then, he responded to all the questions and inquiries of the attendees regarding the field of water.
