Alexandria Water Company develops the collection system using “hand held” devices

Engineer Ahmed Gaber, head of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, announced that 460 handheld devices have been distributed to cover all commercial branches within the Alexandria Governorate, starting from the Abu Qir branch to the Nubaria branch, within the framework of developing and mechanizing the collection system, indicating that 200 have been distributed. Another device to support the meter reading system, bringing the total number of devices used to 660 devices, and commercial branches are being supported with 400 devices to facilitate partial delivery and installment services, as well as advance payment on account.

He stressed the keenness of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company to develop services and keep pace with digital technology to achieve a qualitative shift in work methods in general and in the collection system in all branches of the company, noting that implementing the “Handheld” system contributes to saving costs, effort, and governance of procedures to provide distinguished service to citizens.
