Alexandria Water drains rainwater to ease traffic

The city of Alexandria witnessed a wave of heavy rain today at dawn, which disrupted traffic and many main streets were flooded with water, impeding the movement of citizens.

The Alexandria Water Company, headed by Engineer Ahmed Gaber and the company’s leaders and technicians, quickly responded and dealt with water accumulations in the main streets, in the areas of Sidi Bishr (Gamal Abdel Nasser Tunnel), the main Street 45 and both sides of the road, the Corniche, and Mustafa Kamel Street in front of the Marine Gate and Mustafa Kamel 45 in front of Ezbet Al-Shami.

A number of (7) water suction pumps were used. (4) pumps with a diameter of 4 inches.. and (2) pumps with a diameter of 6 inches.. and (1) pumps with a diameter of 8 inches..
