Engineer Ahmed Jaber, Chairman of the Alexandria Water Company, attended the celebration of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif on the annual day of Al-Azhar Mosque, which was held in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

The ceremony was attended by Major General Khaled Juma, deputy of the governor, many political and party leaders, professors and deans of universities, clerics, education and members of the House of Representatives.

The audience listened to the speech of His Eminence, the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, in which he congratulated the audience on the holy month, then a speech by the head of the Alexandria region for Al-Azhar Affairs, in which he listed the activities and tasks carried out by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, such as the establishment of the Global Center for Electronic Fatwa, the role of Al-Azhar in advocacy, reconciliation committees, reunion units, and fatwa committees, the role of the corridors of Al-Azhar In spreading Arabic sciences, memorizing the Qur’an and teaching its rulings throughout history, the role of Al-Azhar in supporting women, the family house under the joint presidency of Al-Azhar and the Egyptian Church, the development of the Islamic City of Resurrection, the Egyptian House of Zakat and Charities, and finally the establishment of the Al-Azhar Observatory to confront extremist thought and confront it in all languages.
