Alexandria water receives a number of civil society representatives..

In continuation of the partnership between the Drinking Water Company in Alexandria and the civil society in Alexandria Governorate in order to achieve sustainable development in villages and areas most in need,

Mr. Ahmed Jaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director, received a number of civil society representatives in Alexandria Governorate, where they were received by:

Mrs. Marwa El-Derini, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Qualitative Union for Water and Wastewater and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Future Guardians Association.

And Ms. Iman Rashad, Executive Director of Al-Thamarat Charitable Association.

Where the steps for extending a water line in the village of Abis Al-Awla (the third phase) were discussed. The length of the water line to be installed in the village is 1196 m with a pipe diameter of 4 inches. It serves more than 90 families in the village, and the total cost of the project amounted to 400,070 pounds.

The Ahmed Ghoneim Foundation for Development contributed an amount of 100,000 pounds from the cost of the project, and the Future Guardians Association for Care and Development contributed an amount of 70,000 pounds from the cost of the project. The project, and thus the contribution of civil society amounted to 245,000 pounds.

It is worth noting that the first and second phases of the water line were extended in the village of Abis Al-Awla, through the cooperation of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company with the civil society in Alexandria Governorate.
