The beginning of summer training for students of the Technical Secondary School of Drinking Water and Sanitation.
Under the auspices of Messrs., Engineer Ahmed Jaber, President of the Alexandria Water Company, and Engineer Major General Staff Mahmoud Nafeh, Head of the Sanitary Sewerage Company in Alexandria, and their keenness to teach our students the latest methods of education in the field of water in theory and practice.
Under the supervision of Eng. Gwaideh Ali Suleiman, Head of the Production and Distribution Sector of the Southern Region, the Alexandria Water Company started summer training for students for both the second and third grades at the Industrial Technical Secondary School for Drinking Water and Wastewater.
Where the students were distributed to the stations of all different disciplines so that they could visit all the sites and workshops, whether electrical or mechanical, in addition to the meters, carpentry and cars workshops.
Specialized and distinguished training has also been developed for third-grade students, who will specialize in four different disciplines, namely:
• Specialization in the operation and maintenance of drinking water and sanitation stations.
• Specialization in the operation and maintenance of drinking water and sanitation networks.
• Specializing in quality control and laboratory chemicals.
• Specialization in operation and maintenance of water desalination plants, which is the first and only specialization at the level of the Republic.
Students are exchanged weekly with the sanitation company in Alexandria so that the student can apply the curricula on the ground, and at the hands of experienced engineers in both fields (water and sanitation).
Occupational safety and health instructions are adhered to by training students on practical applications that students are required to follow in order to ensure their safety and security in the work environment.
