Times of cooperation between the Alexandria Water Company and civil society organizations.
Mr. Ahmed Jaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, received a group of representatives of civil society from charitable associations and institutions cooperating with the Alexandria Water Company. His Excellency received each of the following:
Engineer / Marwa Al-Derini
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Future Protectors Association for Care and Development, known as No. 1727 of 2004, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Federation for Water and Wastewater.
And Dr. Amr Samir
Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at Ammar Al-Ard Foundation, known as No. 4566 of 2012.
And Mrs. Iman Rashad
Executive Director of Al Thamarat Charitable Association, known as No. 1534 of 2003.
And the engineer / Fatima Al-Zahraa Rushdi
Chairman of the Board of Directors of an institution known as No. 4291 of 2022.
And a number of philanthropists cooperating with the Community Participation Department of the Drinking Water Company in Alexandria.
Ways of cooperation between the Drinking Water Company in Alexandria and these charitable associations and institutions were discussed in order to serve our people in the areas most in need in Alexandria Governorate.
The mechanism for implementing the extension of a water line in the village of Abis Al-Awli (the fourth phase Daraj project) was also discussed, with a length of pipes of 1050 meters, diameters of 4 and 6 inches. This stage serves more than 80 families in the village. The cost of extending the water line in this stage amounted to 458,300 pounds.
Charitable associations and institutions contributed to the payment of part of the project for laying pipes for the water line in the Darraj area in the village of Abis Al-Awla, as follows:
Humat al-Future Association, amounting to 75,000 Egyptian pounds from the project cost
• Emaar Al-Ard Foundation, amounting to 150,000 pounds from the cost.
• Al Thamarat Charitable Association with an amount of 53,500 pounds from the cost.
• Foundation and keeps the impact of the amount of 24,500 pounds of the cost of the project.
In addition to the contribution of a philanthropist with an amount of 1,2000 pounds from the cost of the project.
It is worth noting that water lines were extended in the village of Abis Al-Awla, with a total of 6,500 meters, pipes of 4 and 6 inch diameters, in 4 phases, in cooperation between the Alexandria Water Company and civil society, including charitable associations and institutions, as these projects serve more than 500 families in the village.
