*President of the Alexandria Water Company: directs the preparation of a comprehensive inventory of all equipment and reviewing its technical condition*
Engineer Ahmed Gaber, President of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, held a meeting today to follow up on plans and procedures for operation and maintenance of drinking water stations, levers and networks, and to determine the readiness and effectiveness of all equipment and devices used in this regard, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the instructions of Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing. Utilities and urban communities, Major General Mohamed Al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, and Engineer Mamdouh Raslan, President of the Holding Company for Potable Water and Sanitation.
Jaber directed the necessity of preparing a comprehensive statement that includes the number of water stations, engineering and technical equipment, their efficiency status, and the number of personnel working at each station. He directed the necessity of preparing an action plan for maintaining all equipment to raise its efficiency on a regular basis, presenting the position of the human elements working with that equipment, and raising their technical capabilities to manage field work with high efficiency. The importance of cooperation with all parties in each governorate in dealing with crises.
Jaber stressed the necessity of securing stations and facilities, installing surveillance cameras in all wards of large main stations, developing plans to deal with any crises or emergencies related to operation and maintenance, and forming security committees in all affiliated branches to follow up on the security and safety of the stations to provide the service permanently without interruption.
He continued, "The company's plan and preparations to confront crises, and develop scenarios for potential crises and ways and mechanisms for dealing with them, coinciding with the arrival of winter and the rainy season, with the need to pay attention to activating occupational safety and health procedures in all work sites."
