Local Development inspects the readiness of Alexandria drinking water equipment in the face of crises..
The Alexandria Water Company received a committee from the Ministry of Local Development, where it inspected the company’s equipment lineup in the central area of the Sharqi station, in order to inspect the company’s equipment and the extent of its readiness to receive the winter season, control floods, rainwater, and natural and environmental disasters, and intervene immediately to control crises and emergencies that may face Alexandria Governorate.
Engineer Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Drinking Water Company in Alexandria, confirmed the extent of the company’s equipment and vehicles’ readiness to confront crises and deal immediately with them, and periodically and continuously monitor the weather condition, climate changes, and weather conditions to confront the challenges that may occur during heavy rains.
The committee, headed by Engineer Hani Abdel Wahab, Director General of Follow-up at the Ministry of Local Development, Professor Walid Morsi, Director General of Crisis, Disaster and Risk Reduction Management in the Governorate, Brigadier Amr Al-Sheikh, General Director of Occupational Safety and Health at the Holding Company, and Professor Mohamed Mustafa, Director of Crisis and Disaster Management at the Holding Company, also praised the extent of its gratitude. For the readiness of the equipment lined up at the Sharqi Water Station, and the professional and technical competence of the employees of the Alexandria Water Company.
It is worth noting that the Alexandria Water Company participates in draining and controlling rainwater, through concentration points located in hot areas and many different areas in Alexandria Governorate.
