Under the auspices of the Holding Company for Potable Water and Wastewater, and in cooperation with the Nile Delta Water Management Program of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ).
Engineer Ahmed Gaber, President of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, opened the workshop on updates to PLATFORM, in line with the Holding Company’s vision for digital transformation. His Excellency stated the importance of working to reduce the amount of unaccounted for water within the state’s plan for governance and rationalization of consumption.
Engineer Muhammad Al-Shafi’i, Head of the Operation and Maintenance Sector at the Holding Company, also explained the importance of working to reduce unaccounted for water by implementing the plan of the Holding Company and its subsidiaries in the agreed upon DMZ zones and ending it on the specified date.
Engineer Al-Sayed Al-Beltagy, Director of the Loss Department at the Holding Company, emphasized the importance of automating all technical and commercial procedures that take place within each DMZ to reduce unaccounted for water, and then linking technical works to commercial works, analyzing all data, and the possibility of extracting analytical requirements and permanent monitoring of the losses of both types, in addition to To calculate all performance indicators for unaccounted water
Engineer Sherif Morsi, representative of GIZ, added the importance of the role played by German aid in providing all means of technical support in all fields, especially in the field of unaccounted water.
The session was attended by representatives from the unaccountable water departments of all affiliated companies over two days, and permanent updates are being made to keep pace with the development and digital transformation taking place in the new republic.
