The Technical Secondary School for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Alexandria obtains first place in the National Skills Competition for Technical Education..

In cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Federation of Egyptian Industries, Engineer Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, witnessed the closing activities of the National Skills Competition (Egypt 2023), which was held under the patronage of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education, who confirmed in his speech Technical education has become the future of Egypt, and the Ministry aims to qualify students to compete at the international level, noting that technical education in Egypt jumped in the Global Knowledge Index from 81st to 46th place, and that the Ministry aims to consolidate the partnership with the private sector to support its steps in developing the educational system as a whole. The best evidence is schools of applied technology.

At the end of his speech, His Excellency the Minister thanked all the participating students, parents and teachers, expressing his appreciation to all the parties supporting and participating in this competition.

The competition aims to form an Egyptian team to participate in the World Skills Competition (WORLD SKILLS) held in Lyon, France, during the period from 10 to 15 September 2024. A number of (1,515) male and female students participated in the competition to participate in 15 different skills such as (renewable energy skills - management). Information technology network systems - jewelry industry - CNC turning - automotive technology and mechatronics - electrical installations - industrial mechanics - refrigeration and air conditioning - information network cables - graphic design technology).

The first place in the competition was won by student Nasr Muhammad Kamal at the Technical Secondary School for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Alexandria.

Engineer Ahmed Jaber expressed his sincere congratulations to the student who won first place, Nasr Muhammad Kamal, and stressed that the company provides its students with all the capabilities of theoretical and practical training that qualifies them for excellence, and that this competition strengthens the talents of the students by nurturing and training them in creativity and innovation by providing them with the means of knowledge and capabilities that... It qualifies them to excel in their careers in order to contribute effectively to building the country and achieving its leadership in various fields of development.

Mr. Andreas Adrian, Coordinator of the Technical Education and Labor Market Sector at the German Agency (GIZ), expressed his happiness at seeing distinguished Egyptian young professional students join such an international event, noting that it must be noted that the success of the students comes as a result of the support of companies, parents and teachers, which in turn led to the presence of A large number of distinguished students, not just winners.

Engineer Jwaida Ali Suleiman, Head of the Southern Region Sector and Distribution and General Supervisor of the Secondary School, also affirmed his pride in the honorable appearance witnessed by the Technical Secondary School, and that this success achieved by the student Nasr Muhammad Kamal by obtaining first place in the competition did not come by chance, but rather is the result of continuous support and hard work, wishing Continued success and payment.
