The head of Alexandria Water in an expanded awareness meeting with the leaders of the Ethydco Petrochemical Company..

In cooperation with Ethedco Petrochemical Company, Engineer Ahmed Gaber, President of the Drinking Water Company in Alexandria, attended the awareness meeting organized by the company’s Awareness Department under the title of rationalizing water consumption, climate changes and their impact on water resources.

Mr. Eng. Hisham Riad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ethydco, opened the meeting by welcoming the guests. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of the role of community participation in advancing Alexandrian society.

Regarding water challenges, Engineer Ahmed Jaber pointed out that this huge amount of mega projects will be a major attraction for residents in the coming years, and this requires the provision of larger quantities of fresh water.

During the meeting, awareness seminars were held on the necessity of rationalizing water consumption and methods of rationalization, and a workshop was held to teach the principles of light plumbing and how to repair simple faults. The discussion also touched on climate change and its impact on water resources.

At the end of the meeting, Chemist Samir Abdel Fattah, General Manager of Environmental Awareness at ETHYDCO, stressed the importance of rationalization and awareness because of its great positive impact on society and future generations.
