Engineer Ahmed Gaber, President of the Alexandria Water Company, received a delegation from the German Parliament at the Manshiya Station (2), to follow up on the joint cooperation efforts between the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Holding Company for Potable Water and Wastewater, in order to follow up on the sustainability of the quality certificate (TSM) and the (ISO) energy certificate. , which is one of the products of joint cooperation.

The visit included visiting the station’s units, and ensuring that standard operating methods, standard maintenance, and occupational safety and health requirements were applied in all aspects of work. Simulations of chlorine gas leakage experiments and closed spaces were also carried out by trained workers with the highest degree of readiness to deal with any leakage in the event of a crisis. .

On the other hand, the Energy Management Certificate ISO 50001-2018 was granted to the Al-Mansheya (2) station, as it is one of the model stations that holds the highest quality certificates, as part of an ambitious plan that aims to ensure that all of the company’s stations obtain a certificate of conformity with the requirements of the energy management system.

Thus, the Alexandria Water Company is considered the first company to obtain this certificate from among the companies affiliated with the Holding Company for Potable Water and Wastewater. This achievement was achieved through coordination of efforts between the General Administration of Energy Conservation and the Quality Assurance Department of the General Administration of the Technical Office and the Mansheya Station (2). .
