Engineer Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, received the certificate of approval of the water safety and security plan for the Furn Al-Jaraya water station supply system, the first version, approved by the Supreme Committee for Water and signed by His Excellency the Dr. Minister of Health and Population on 10/26/2023.

This came in the presence of the General Administration for Water and Sanitation Safety and Security team at the Holding Company, namely:

Mr. Dr. Walid Hosni

Mr. Dr. Mohamed Al-Sayed

Mr. Dr. Alaa Salem

And internal work teams from sectors, general departments and executive departments of the company.

The handover ceremony began with a speech by Mr. Eng. Ahmed Gaber, who welcomed the members of the General Management Committee for Water Safety and Security at the Holding Company, and then stressed the keenness of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company to activate and implement the water safety and safety methodology to maintain public health as one of the most important elements in improving water quality and services provided to citizens.

Dr. Lamia Mustafa, Head of the Company’s Laboratories Sector, added that water safety and security plans are the most effective guarantee for reducing health and environmental risks related to water, and their applications reflect positively on all performance indicators. She also praised the distinguished role of the work team of the General Administration for Water Safety and Security, as it witnessed a remarkable achievement. By adopting (7) certificates for water safety and security thanks to the cooperation of all the company’s internal work teams, in addition to the role of external work teams in the Ministries of Health, Environment, Water Resources and Irrigation.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Shami, Director General of Water Safety and Security, explained that the past period witnessed a large volume of work in the field of water safety and security in light of the quantities of water produced that serve a large number of the total population of Alexandria Governorate, as well as the number of plans that have been completed. He also praised the volume of cooperation. Between all sectors in preparing water safety and security plans.
