Alexandria Water participates in the third international conference for water treatment consultants and green hydrogen production using environmentally friendly technology..

Mr. Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Drinking Water Company in Alexandria, thanked and praised the distinguished participation of Ms. Dr. Maysa Salah El-Din Ismail, General Director of Research and Development at the company, in the Third International Water Treatment Consultant Conference (IWCC) under the title “Desalination, Water Treatment, Green Hydrogen, and Social and Economic Impacts.” For partnership between the public and private sectors.

Dr. Maysa Salah represented the Alexandria Drinking Water Company during the conference with a research on “Wastewater Treatment and Green Hydrogen Production with Environmentally Friendly Technology,” as the research combines two distinct ideas:

* Making the most of wastewater, treating it and reusing it.

* Green hydrogen production using environmentally friendly technology.

Note that Egypt is adopting research and projects on the production of green hydrogen, especially that which will be produced using renewable energy sources from the sun and wind. Green hydrogen will be one of the main energy sources in Egypt, in fulfillment of the state’s vision of diversifying energy sources so that 40% of the energy consumed will be from renewable sources by the year 2035.

Green hydrogen also works to reduce the carbon footprint and encourage many industries, including green ammonia, which is a main ingredient in the fertilizer industry. Expanding its production will also stimulate the production of electric cars.

Engineer Ahmed Jaber praised the effort made by the company’s General Department of Research and Development, and also recommended making more efforts to reach the highest levels of development, keep pace with sustainable development, and stimulate innovation and creativity.
