Alexandria Water Company Chairman Responds to Water Pollution Allegations

Engineer Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, directly drank water from one of the purification stations, in a strong message confirming the safety and quality of drinking water in homes, to respond to rumors circulated on social media that the drinking water in the governorate is not suitable, which raised citizens' concerns

This came during a visit by "Al-Ahram Gate" to the Nozha station, in the airport area east of Alexandria, to follow up on the stages of water purification and determine the truth of its quality.

Gaber stressed that the company attaches great importance to transparency in its dealings with the public, explaining that all water flowing from the purification stations undergoes several periodic tests to ensure its safety, so it is completely safe.

Gaber added that the Alexandria Drinking Water Company has obtained all the high certificates, starting with operation and maintenance, and all the company's laboratories, whether central or branch laboratories in the stations, have obtained ISO 17025 certificates, which are among the highest international quality standards, and he also confirms the safety and security of drinking water in the governorate.
