Alexandria Water Company participates in the International Water and Wastewater Technology Exhibition (IWWI) ..

Alexandria Water Company, headed by Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman and Managing Director, participated in the activities of the International Water and Wastewater Technology Exhibition and Conference (IWWI), which is held at the New Cairo Exhibition Grounds.

During its participation, the company reviewed its efforts in developing the infrastructure of the drinking water system in Alexandria, and the most prominent projects that have been implemented to secure water sources and improve the quality of services provided to citizens. The latest technologies and applications adopted by the company in the fields of water production and distribution were also presented, in addition to the smart solutions used to improve operating efficiency and reduce losses.

In the company's pavilion, Dr. Maysa Salah El-Din, the company's General Manager of Research and Development, presented a technical presentation on the production of green hydrogen and its use in water desalination, which represents a qualitative leap in the field of developing sustainable solutions to secure water resources. The company's pavilion also witnessed a distinguished presentation by students of the Technical School for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Alexandria, where they displayed a device that controls electronic devices and electrical panels of all kinds (on - off) remotely, and controls the temperature of those devices and sends data about the status of those devices first hand.

One of the students also displayed an electronic irrigation device that measures soil moisture and controls the method of irrigating the land. The Department of Climate Change and Environment Studies displayed emission measurement unit devices that are used to measure generator emissions, chlorine and VOC, which are air pollutants found in closed rooms. The Innovation Committee of the General Department of Research and Development displayed the digital library, which includes many digital services, the latest events, scientific research and artificial intelligence, in addition to a huge collection of books and scientific research such as water and its production, information technology and the environment, and other sciences.

The commercial sector displayed a (kiosk) device, which is an alternative device to the branch, which provides all the services provided but without employees. Finally, the General Administration for Self-Employment displayed a self-effort filter washing table with German and American components that can withstand up to 10 million times of operation and shutdown, in addition, which reflects the company's efforts to support and qualify its cadres using the latest technologies.

Engineer Ahmed Jaber stressed, in his speech on the sidelines of the exhibition, that the participation of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company comes within its strategy to enhance cooperation with various entities and companies specialized in the water and sanitation sector, and exchange successful experiences and experiments to achieve sustainable development in the water sector.

He also pointed out the importance of reviewing the latest technological innovations in the field of water, which contribute to improving performance and raising the efficiency of services provided to citizens, stressing the company's commitment to providing the best solutions to ensure the sustainability of water resources and face future challenges.

The participation of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company in the exhibition confirms its pioneering role in the water sector in Egypt, and its constant endeavor to adopt the latest technological systems to develop its services and meet the needs of citizens.

Hesham Jaafar, Deputy of Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, Dr. Salah Bayoumi, Vice Chairman of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, Dr. Refaat Abdel Wahab, Organizer of the Arowadex and IWWI Conference, and from the Saudi side, Dr. Zuhair Al-Sarraj, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, Dr. Mohammed Al-Fawzan, Chairman of the Arab Desalination Association (Arowadex), and from the German side, Ms. Radmila Labos, European Union Financing Expert for Small and Medium Enterprises.
