The activities of the International Water and Wastewater Technology Exhibition (IWWI) concluded today, which was held in the conference hall in New Cairo, with the distinguished participation of local and international companies specialized in the water and wastewater sector. The exhibition witnessed a high-level presence headed by Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing and Engineer Mamdouh Raslan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, with the participation of Representatives Dr. Salah Bayoumi and Major General Asem Shukr, in addition to the chairmen of the boards of directors of affiliated companies and a number of officials and experts.
In his speech, Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, said that organizing this international exhibition reflects Egypt's commitment to developing the water and wastewater sector according to the latest international standards. This event represents a great opportunity to enhance partnerships between the public and private sectors, and to innovate sustainable solutions that contribute to addressing water challenges and achieving comprehensive development. He also praised the level of organization and the modern technologies presented, commending the efforts of all participating companies and institutions in supporting this vital sector.
In his speech, Eng. Mamdouh Raslan stressed that he is pleased and honored today to be a witness to this distinguished event that reflects the combined national and international efforts to enhance innovation in the water and sanitation sector, and that the International Exhibition for Drinking Water and Wastewater Technology is not just an opportunity to showcase technologies, but rather a platform for cooperation and exchange of experiences between all workers in this vital sector.
He also praised the distinguished role played by the companies affiliated with the Holding Company, such as the Alexandria Water Company, in supporting the state’s projects and achieving its vision towards sustainability, and that the projects and innovations we witnessed today demonstrate our firm commitment to serving citizens and ensuring a sustainable water future for Egypt. He also thanked all participants for their distinguished efforts, and recommended more fruitful cooperation to achieve our common goals.”
At the Alexandria Water Company’s pavilion, Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors, received the visiting delegations and gave a detailed presentation of the company’s achievements and projects that reflect the sector’s leadership and the importance of investing in the human element, including the projects of technical school students.
In his speech, Eng. Ahmed Gaber said that it is an honor for us at Alexandria Water Company to be part of this prominent event that brings together national and international expertise in the water and sanitation sector, and that we are proud today to showcase our projects and achievements that highlight our continuous efforts to serve the community and enhance the efficiency of water services.
