Alexandria Water Company continues cooperation with civil society to achieve sustainable development…
As part of its efforts to promote sustainable development and improve the quality of services provided to the community, Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman and Managing Director of Alexandria Water Company, received a number of representatives of civil society institutions and charitable associations, with the aim of discussing ways of joint cooperation to serve the most needy groups in Alexandria Governorate.
The meetings included representatives of:
• Generation of Hope Association for Social Development
• Ommar Al-Ard Foundation
• Future Protectors Association for Care and Development
• Al-Thamrat Charitable Association
• Al-Yad Al-Ulya Association
During the meeting, the implementation of the project to replace and renew drinking water lines in the village of “Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq” was discussed, which was divided into ten phases. The first and second phases of the project have been completed, while charitable associations and institutions financed the third phase, which includes replacing and renewing 1980 meters of water lines to serve 20 streets within the village.
This project comes within the framework of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company's vision to enhance cooperation with civil society institutions, in order to improve the services provided to citizens in the most needy areas, and provide an infrastructure that guarantees a decent life for all families. In this context, Engineer Ahmed Jaber expressed his thanks and gratitude to the charitable associations and institutions for their effective role and great efforts in supporting the company's projects, stressing the importance of continuing this constructive cooperation that aims to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development throughout Alexandria Governorate.
