In the framework of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to be fully prepared to confront crises and disasters, and to link crisis centers to the control center of the National Network for Emergencies and Public Safety, and in light of the ongoing cooperation with the Alexandria Governorate and all executive bodies, the Alexandria Drinking Water Company announced its full readiness to deal with any emergencies during the current winter season.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled, Governor of Alexandria, witnessed the alignment of the governorate's equipment for confronting crises and disasters, at the headquarters of the General Diwan of the Alexandria Governorate, in the presence of the Deputy Governor and the Secretary-General, the Assistant Secretary-General of the Governorate, the Military Advisor to the Governorate, the heads of the neighborhoods, the Director of the Operations Room and the Control Center, and all relevant executive bodies.
His Excellency stressed that this alignment comes with the aim of taking the necessary measures that ensure the governorate's readiness to deal with any emergency events or crises by reviewing the readiness of all equipment to control any crisis or natural disaster and confront climate change.
Engineer Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, stated that the company participated in the lineup of crisis and disaster equipment witnessed by the governorate, where the readiness of the equipment and specialized technical crews was reviewed, to ensure their ability to deal immediately with any crisis, especially those related to climate change, weather fluctuations and rain.
His Excellency also indicated that the company's emergency crews and technicians are trained at the highest level to deal with various emergency scenarios, explaining that several trainings and simulation scenarios were carried out in advance in coordination with the executive authorities in the governorate to ensure a rapid response.
Engineer Ahmed Gaber added that the company works around the clock in cooperation with the central operations room in the governorate and the National Emergency Network Control Center, to ensure the provision of sustainable services and to face any challenges that the governorate may face.
