Engineer Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of Alexandria Water Company, received Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing and Utilities, and Messrs. Major General Engineer Mahmoud Nafeh, Chairman of Alexandria Wastewater Company, Dr. Mohamed Hassan, Chairman of the Regulatory Authority, and Eng. Ahmed Abdel Qader, Chairman of the Executive Authority.

Dr. Sayed Ismail began his speech by praising the distinguished performance of Alexandria Water Company, which we are proud of in all forums, whether internal or external, thanks to its extensive experience, which has been able to export its expertise to some foreign countries. His Excellency also spoke about the challenges facing this sector at all levels, but the confidence of those in charge of the work of our company is greater than these challenges, and that the state has spent hundreds of billions to develop and grow this sector, and recommended training young cadres, providing opportunities for everyone and paying attention to developing skills, and graduating new generations capable of working with the same approach, and that the state is working hard to adopt and develop new ideas called out-of-the-box ideas.

In his speech, Eng. Ahmed Jaber welcomed the attendees and then gave a detailed explanation of the company's plan and strategy, starting with the fact that all ten of the company's stations have obtained the TSM certificate, as well as replacement and renewal projects, especially in hot areas such as Ajami, Abis and Abdel Qader. He then spoke about the environmental record, the green economy and solar energy, which is sold to the electricity company, and about the carbon footprint, which was implemented for six stations. The percentage of water loss was also reduced from 37.2% to 23.5%, and the company is working hard to bring the percentage to 19%, and about recycling filter water. Eng. Ahmed Jaber continued talking about self-employment, as the company is self-sufficient, and even works on behalf of others in carpentry, ready-made clothing, and car repair for most of its affiliated companies and external parties. The company also has the largest number of subscribers, amounting to 2,206,000 subscribers. The company also has two meter workshops and a central laboratory equipped with the latest water-saving devices in the Middle East. The company has also installed more than 1,300,000 water-saving pieces and more than 300,000 prepaid meters. The company also makes protocols with universities to train top graduates and benefit from them. The company has appointed all school graduates in water and sewage stations.
