Alexandria Water Company cooperates with civil society to implement the fourth phase of the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Village project in Ameria.

As part of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company's efforts to enhance cooperation with civil society and achieve sustainable development, Engineer Ahmed Gaber, Chairman and Managing Director of the Company, received a delegation from the Egyptian Specific Union for Water and Wastewater to discuss ways of cooperation between the company, the union, and cooperating civil society organizations, with the aim of improving water services for families most in need.

In this context, the implementation steps of the fourth phase of the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Village Water Pipeline Replacement and Renewal Project in Al-Ameriya were reviewed. This project includes extending 1,120 meters of water pipes to serve 134 homes in the village. Several civil society organizations contributed to funding this phase, including:

• Ommar Al-Ard Foundation

• Bedaya Charity Association

• Homat Al-Mustaqbal Association for Care and Development

• Al-Thamrat Charity Association

Engineer Ahmed Jaber expressed his appreciation for the vital role these organizations and associations play in supporting infrastructure projects, noting that this cooperation reflects the Alexandria Drinking Water Company's vision of strengthening community partnerships to ensure access to basic services for all segments of society, especially in the most needy areas.

This project comes within the framework of the company's plan to achieve sustainable development in Alexandria Governorate and enhance joint efforts between government agencies and civil society to improve the level of services provided to citizens.
