Alexandria Water Company Receives Three Accreditation Certificates for Drinking Water Safety Plans...
As part of the Alexandria Water Company's commitment to developing its services and enhancing the quality of drinking water provided to citizens, Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman and Managing Director, received three accreditation certificates for drinking water safety plans during a ceremony held in the conference room at the company's headquarters.
The certificates included the following supply systems:
• El-Seyouf Water Station (First Edition)
• Mariout 2 Water Station (First Edition)
• El-Zohour Water Station (First Edition)
These plans were approved by the Supreme Water Committee and signed by His Excellency the Minister of Health and Population, confirming that these stations conform to the highest standards of quality and health safety.
The certificates were presented by:
• Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Rahman Saad
• Dr. Alaa Farid
• Dr. Walid Hosni
• Dr. Alaa Salem

In his speech, Engineer Ahmed Gaber emphasized that the adoption of these plans is the culmination of the efforts of the company's work teams and reflects the Alexandria Drinking Water Company's commitment to implementing a water safety methodology as an effective tool to ensure public health and improve the level of service provided to citizens. He cited positive reports issued by the Drinking Water and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency and the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater.
For her part, Dr. Lamia Mustafa, Head of the Laboratories Sector, explained that water safety plans represent the first line of defense against health and environmental risks. She praised the role of the work teams and the cooperation between the company's various sectors, in addition to the significant efforts of the General Administration for Water Safety and Security team.
Dr. Ahmed El Shamy, Director of the Water Safety and Security Department, also noted that the recent period has witnessed numerous achievements thanks to the integration between internal departments, such as the production, distribution, projects, technology, human resources, and awareness sectors, along with the effective support of the work teams of the Ministry of Health, the Environmental Affairs Agency, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, and the governorate.
In concluding his remarks, Engineer Ahmed Gaber expressed his sincere appreciation to the Holding Company's General Department of Water Safety and Security for its continued support, emphasizing the company's ongoing commitment to achieving water security for Alexandria's citizens and ensuring the sustainability of its vital resources.
