Alexandria Water Company Achieves Level 1 Water Safety Rating for 2024/2025...

The Alexandria Drinking Water Company, headed by Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman and Managing Director, announced that it has achieved Level 1 in the performance evaluation of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater's subsidiaries in the field of water safety and security for the fiscal year 2024/2025. This achievement was based on a report by the General Department of Water and Wastewater Safety and Security at the Holding Company.

Eng. Ahmed Gaber emphasized that this achievement is the culmination of the efforts of all the company's work teams and the management's commitment to implementing and activating water safety and security plans to ensure the provision of safe and healthy drinking water for all citizens. He emphasized that the company always strives to achieve the highest standards of quality and sustainability in its water supply systems.

For her part, Dr. Lamia Mustafa, Head of the Laboratories Sector, explained that the water safety and security plans benefit 6.5 million people, with a total water production capacity of 3.5 million m³/day, representing 100% of the company's total water production. She emphasized that the company's strategic plan aims to achieve sustainability after all plans are approved by the Supreme Water Committee, with close monitoring of the implementation of corrective measures in cooperation with various sectors.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Shami, Director General of Water Safety and Security, also indicated that the evaluation process was based on several criteria, most notably:

The percentage of water secured to the total quantity produced.

The percentage of follow-up on the implementation of corrective measures by each company.

The number of plans approved by the Supreme Water Committee.

The speed of response to communications from the holding company.

The level of comprehensiveness and integration with external parties.

The size of the financial allocation to implement corrective measures.

At the end of the statement, Eng.
