Alexandria Water Company Successfully Renews TSM Certification for Sharqi Water Treatment Plant Without Observations…
Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman and Managing Director, announced the successful renewal of the Sharqi Water Treatment Plant's Sustainable Technical Management (TSM) certification for the third consecutive time without any observations. This reflects the company's unwavering commitment to implementing the highest standards of operation, maintenance, quality, occupational health and safety, and safe operation within the drinking water production and distribution system.
The Holding Company's inspection committee commended the plant's readiness, adherence to standard operating and maintenance procedures, occupational health and safety protocols, and overall appearance. They also praised the collaborative efforts of all plant employees in achieving this high standard.
In his remarks, Eng. Ahmed Gaber emphasized that the Sharqi Water Treatment Plant's successful renewal of the TSM certification without any observations is conclusive proof of the efficiency of the company's operations across all sectors. He stated that this achievement is the result of sound planning, commitment to international standards, and meticulous monitoring by the plant's management. He added that this success is not the end goal, but rather a starting point for further development and continuous improvement across all work sites.

It is awarded by the General Directorate of Technical Inspection at the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, with support from the German Federal Ministry for International Cooperation (GIZ), to ensure the sustainability of technical procedures and enhance operational and maintenance efficiency.
It is worth mentioning that the Sharqi Station was established in 1860 and operates with a design capacity of 510,000 cubic meters per day. It serves several districts (East, Central, Customs, and West) and is committed to providing clean and safe drinking water according to the highest international standards.
