Alexandria Water Company Strengthens Partnerships with Civil Society to Implement the First Phase of the Water Network Project in Al-Jazair Village…

Within the framework of cooperation between the Alexandria Drinking Water Company and civil society organizations in the governorate, and with the aim of supporting community participation efforts, achieving sustainable development, and providing a decent life for citizens, Eng. Gaddafi Ibrahim, Chairman and Managing Director, received a number of representatives from civil society organizations to discuss mechanisms for strengthening joint cooperation in implementing service projects.

During the meeting, ways of cooperation between the company and various institutions in supporting infrastructure projects in the most needy areas were discussed. Civil society organizations paid for the implementation of the drinking water network pipes for the first phase in Al-Jazair Village, which is part of the Amriya 2nd District and the agricultural villages of Al-Nahda. The total length of the pipes is 1200 meters, and the first phase of the project will serve approximately 300 homes.

Engineer Al-Qaddafi explained that the project will be implemented according to a phased plan, ensuring the complete coverage of the village with drinking water networks. This will also allow civil society organizations to contribute at each stage, according to their capabilities and developmental role.

This collaboration underscores the vital role of civil society organizations as partners supporting the government's efforts to improve basic services in the most underserved areas. This initiative serves as a practical model for integrating efforts between government agencies and community entities to achieve tangible development on the ground.
