Alexandria Water Company Strengthens Partnerships with Civil Society to Serve Needy Families…
As part of the Alexandria Water Company’s strategy to enhance community engagement and support vulnerable groups, Mr. Gaddafi Ibrahim, Chairman and Managing Director, signed a cooperation protocol with the Rotary Club of Alexandria. This protocol focuses on providing drinking water to the most needy areas and families, as well as raising water awareness among citizens.
The protocol was signed on behalf of the Rotary Club of Alexandria by Dr. Rania Hassan El-Banna, President of the Rotary Club of Alexandria, in the presence of Eng. Mohamed Fathallah, Head of the Projects Committee, and Mr. Magdy Nasr, Treasurer of the Club. The protocol aims to support community development efforts and achieve sustainability in drinking water services.
In this context, the Rotary Club of Alexandria covered the cost of connecting drinking water to 23 needy families in villages and hamlets in the Amriya area.
Mr. Gaddafi Ibrahim also received Ms. Iman Rashad, Executive Director of the Al-Thamarat Charitable Association (registered under number 1534 of 2003), where they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Alexandria Water Company and the association to improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable groups.
In this context, the Al-Thamarat Charitable Association covered the costs of implementing drinking water pipeline projects in Al-Rawda village (168 meters long, 6 inches in diameter) and in Hawd 12 village (84 meters long, 4 inches in diameter), serving a number of underprivileged families in these villages.
In his remarks, Mr. Gaddafi Ibrahim emphasized that the Alexandria Water Company places great importance on strengthening cooperation with civil society organizations, considering them essential partners in achieving sustainable development. He pointed out that these partnerships directly contribute to delivering basic services to the most vulnerable families and improving their standard of living, in addition to supporting efforts to raise awareness about the importance of water conservation and preserving this vital resource for future generations.
