As part of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company's commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and relying on its own resources, Mr. Gaddafi Ibrahim, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director, conducted an extensive field tour. This included inspecting the Nasiriyah pumping station, the Nasiriyah warehouses, and the company's sewing workshop, to monitor work progress and assess performance levels at the various sites.
During the tour, he reviewed the work system within the warehouses and the extent of adherence to inventory management regulations, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and the continuity of efficient operations. He also monitored the operational status of the Nasiriyah pumping station, stressing the importance of maintaining the highest levels of readiness to guarantee the stability of services provided to citizens.
The tour also included an inspection of the sewing workshop, which represents a successful model for maximizing the use of available resources. The workshop fulfills the needs of the company and several of its subsidiaries for occupational safety and health equipment and laboratory supplies, contributing to cost reduction and supporting the company's self-reliance.
In his address, Engineer Gaddafi Ibrahim emphasized that on-site presence among employees is one of the most important tools for development, stating:
“We believe that direct monitoring of work sites is the true path to raising performance efficiency and achieving the highest levels of discipline. We always strive to support workshops and warehouses, considering them the backbone of the operational system and the sustainability of service.”
He added that the current phase requires teamwork, adherence to quality and safety standards, and continuous development in line with the state’s plans to improve services and infrastructure, befitting the name of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company and its vital role in serving citizens.
