The General Union of Workers of the Drinking Water Company in Alexandria consists of eleven members who are chosen by election from among the employees of the company. The term of the session is five years. The Board of Directors of the Trade Union Committee is formed by election among the members of the Board of Directors, and it is formed according to the following:
Chairman of the trade union committee.
Vice Chairman of the Committee.
Treasurer.
Secretary General.
Two members are selected in the company's general assembly.
The head of the syndicate shall be a member of the company’s board of directors, but he shall not have the right to vote.
Objectives of the trade union committee:
Stand by the workers in solving their problems.
Participate in grievance committees.
Visiting patients in hospitals.
Recreational trips for employees.
Supporting the establishment of breakfast parties for workers.
The trade union committee contributes cash amounts in the following social cases:
in case of illness.
In the event that the member is married.
In the event of the death of one of the parents.
In the event of the death of children.
In the event of retirement.
