Green it and protect it initiative in the presence of the head of the Alexandria Water Company, Engineer Ahmed Gaber.
Engineer Ahmed Gaber, President of the Alexandria Water Company, attended the celebration held at Al-Nasr College for Boys in Victoria, which was organized by the Social Studies Directorate at Montazah First Educational Administration, in the presence of Dr. Arabi Abu Zeid, who began his speech by praising the efforts made by the governorate under the leadership of Major General Mohamed Al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria. He also thanked those in charge of the educational process, especially the Montazah Educational District, for the effort made to enhance the educational process in the governorate.
He also talked about the climate conference and the role played by the state in making this global conference a success, which was witnessed by most of the world's kings and presidents. He continued his talk about the “Green It and Protect It” initiative and the recommendations included in this initiative, such as preserving the environment, public cleanliness, and the initiative to plant a tree and pass it on to future generations, which reflects the development of personal behavior, practicing sports, maintaining public facilities, smiling, and good morals.
On the other hand, Engineer Ahmed Gaber, President of the Alexandria Water Company, spoke about the initiative and its importance, which includes planting 2 million trees nationwide, using alternative energies such as solar energy and wind energy, expanding the production of green hydrogen, and preserving the environment by treating companies’ exhausts.
His Excellency also spoke about the achievements witnessed by Egypt in general and Alexandria in particular, such as the major national projects, most notably the Decent Life Project, which includes 4,300 villages and 175 centers, the cost of the first phase of which exceeds 800 billion pounds, and the Mashrif Al-Khair and Amriya Outskirts projects, which accommodate approximately 200,000 people.
Jaber also talked about the city being built inside the sea in Abu Qir, and the high-speed train projects, the Abu Qir train, and the Raml tram project.
The celebration included some theatrical and singing performances, puppet theater, and a special operetta for the Green Her and Protect Her initiative.
The ceremony was attended by a group of educators, businessmen, and members of the People's Assembly and Senate.
