Al-Mansheya Water Station (2) obtains the ISO certificate in energy management..

Within the framework of the directives of Mr. Engineer Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Alexandria Water Company, towards meeting the requirements of sustainable national development, he announced the first renewal of the ISO 50001-2018 energy management system certificate for the Mansheya Water Station (2), through the external review of the Swiss granting body, SGS.

It is noteworthy that the Alexandria Water Company obtained the certificate for the first time in March 2023, as the first company affiliated with the Holding Company for Potable Water and Wastewater to achieve this achievement.

Engineer Ahmed Jaber stressed that the renewal of the energy ISO certificate is a clear indication that the company’s energy work system is on the right path and the ambitious plan adopted by the company, which aims to improve the company’s energy performance and achieve rational and sustainable management of energy resources, which contributes to improving costs.

On the other hand, protecting the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

His Excellency also praised the role of all sectors contributing to the work to achieve the achievement, and he particularly mentioned the integrated work between the General Administration of Energy Conservation and the General Administration of the Technical Office - Quality Assurance Department and the management of Al-Mansheya Station (2), which effectively contributed to the development of the applied system and its integration with institutional processes. Others contribute to achieving the company's strategy.

It is worth noting that the Mansheya (2) water station was established in 2013, with a design capacity of 240,000 cubic meters/day, and it serves parts of the Sharq district, the Amriya district, the center and city of Burj al-Arab, and the Beheira Governorate.
