Alexandria Water participates in the activities of the second day of the workshop (Sharing ideas to develop media coverage of water and sanitation issues)..
The Alexandria Water Company, headed by Engineer Ahmed Gaber, participated in the workshop held under the auspices of the European Union, represented by Mr. Christian Berger, the European Union’s Ambassador to Egypt, and in the presence of Mrs. Lina Blanc, the French Consul in Egypt, and a group of businessmen and owners of companies related to the water industry, and those interested. Water issues, to discuss all new ideas and projects related to water.
Ambassador Christian Berger said that the European Union attaches great importance to the water sector in Egypt, and pointed out that these jointly funded programs provide approximately 30,000 permanent job opportunities and 60,000 temporary job opportunities, mainly in rural areas, and that investment in the water sector has contributed to developing the infrastructure. Infrastructure, improving the environment and contributing to sustainable economic development, and that these investments aim to improve the quality of life by enhancing water and environmental services, and ensuring food security.
Berger explained that the European Union is fully prepared to adopt any new projects or investments with the government sector or the private sector, or to participate with businessmen, or to adopt any new innovations or ideas.
In his speech, Engineer Ahmed Jaber welcomed the attendees and stressed the full support of the Alexandria Drinking Water Company for all entrepreneurs and new ideas and projects in the field of water and agriculture, and providing the necessary support for these projects to come to light.
